Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker
I think this is a wonderful ceremony. It is great to see so many great business leaders being recognised who have been doing so well in such a challenging situation too. It’s wonderful to see so many young people and at the same time the lifetime achievement award was the icing on the cake. Of course this kind of award ceremony will help bring change in lives. What the boss is doing is recognising people’s achievements and success. What better reward can there be than to be recognised. It’s always a great feeling to be recognised for anyone.
Winning is achieving a goal that you have set for yourself. What you have to remember is that life is like a treadmill. You are always running on it with others too doing the same. So you have to run as fast as the treadmill otherwise you get thrown off. To win, you have to run as fast as the treadmill but simultaneously faster than the other people. That’s what winning is all about: running faster than anyone.
Manvinder Singh Banga
Guest of Honour
The most important aspect of this award was that there were many inspiring stories. Like Manvinder Singh Banga said, we should be able to transfer this value to the youth so that they will be inspired to develop the country. We should be able to give a message to our younger generation that they should not be disappointed because the hardships that they are facing at present will be a valuable gift some day in the future. I believe such awards will definitely create hope among the general people. When you read a newspaper these days you just get to read the bad things, when you go outside you only get to listen to bad things but such programmes create hope among the people. This is positive hope. Winners are role models. I was really fascinated by the winners. I hope everyone knows about this event and has watched this event, if not this event has to be publicised because it will create hope and confidence. This is the ‘Nepali Idol’.
